Braselton, GA. (October 15th, 2020) – Fresh off a victory at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Dakota Dickerson has his eyes set for the championship this weekend. He will enter the weekend in the #54 MLT Motorsports Ligier JSP3 only 6 points behind championship leaders Matt Bell and Naveen Rao. The final event of the championship will make for an excellent 3-hour showdown that will see a total of 14 LMP3 racecars battling around the high-speed rollercoaster of a track that is Road Atlanta.
“I can’t wait to get on track at Road Atlanta. It is the team’s home track and we had really great pace in last year’s race. We’ve tried to stay consistent all year and it has kept us in this championship hunt. Now we have some momentum behind us from our win at Mid-Ohio, and we are pushing hard for the championship title. We have the full capability to win this race and I’m excited to see how it plays out.”
Dickerson will share driving duties with Dominic Cicero to finish out the season. Cicero has consistently been one of the fastest Bronze rated drivers in the field and is also climbing up through the championship standings after missing the first event at Daytona International Speedway back in January.
The #54 MLT Motorsports Ligier will also be a sight to see this weekend with nearly 200 paw prints going on the car from Dickerson’s “Nowzad Paws on a Racecar” fundraiser. The fundraiser had over 100 individual donors spanning across 5 different countries to help achieve the $7,500 fundraiser goal. With animals ranging from dogs, cats, lizards, birds, hamsters, tortoises, bunnies, and donkeys, the racecar will look incredible on the NBC Sports Network Broadcast.
The race begins Friday, October 16th at 9:00am EST on NBCSN Track Pass. Additional updates into the race weekend can be found on the Dickerson Racing social media channels:
